Yong was invited by his Alma Mater, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Illustration department to speak to the graduating students. Yong is an alumni of MassArt where he graduated in 1996 and later be a faculty member for a number of years before became assistant professor at Bunker Hill Community College. For many years, Yong has been invited to the college to shared his life stories and professional experience to the graduating classes. Yong's stories inspired the soon-to-be professional artists with his passion and positive perspective to art and life. His humour often made the students laughed throughout the entire presentation.
